F is for Friends

Today is day 6 in our 26 day challenge of posting a letter a day for the next 26 days (excluding Sundays).  Its called the A to Z challenge.  Today we bring you F for Friends.

Teach has a lot of friends.  He started socializing as soon as we got him home.  His breeder had put a good foundation on him but its good to keep it going so he made lots of friends at a young age.

This was the first time he met his "brother" Xander and they have continued their friendship till today.

Teach still lets him roll him ... LOL!!

Benson, Teach and a Doberman from Obedience class in 2012.  He was part of the advertisement.
After a hard class its always fun to let teh dogs have some supervised free time to play as they want.

This winter Teach got to connect with another class friend for some fun hiking.  That is until he hurt himself.  But even after being confined when he gets back out there with his friends he still wants to play with his friends and be social.
Fun play with Gabe ... even though it looks evil.  They have a blast together.

Normally on horse back rides we have a pack of dogs going with us.  They are all very socialized friends.

Today we are participating in the monthly Positive Pet Training Blog Hop.  Doing fun things with your dog, like socializing with others, is another way to keep things positive and fun for them.

  1. Great tot see that Teach is fine with horses! Must be awesome to ride and walk a dog at the same time.

Thanks for joining the hop! It's great that Teach is socialized with horses. Mr. N is not and wants to chase them. We run into them so seldom though that we haven't been able to acclimate him to them.

  4. What a wonderful post to fit into both hops! Even though it is so important to socialize puppies (that "socialization window") continued socialization matters too but is often forgotten. Where's teaches little friends? One reason we have a collie is how wonderful they can be with all sizes of dogs... and people too!

  5. At the doggie daycare I used to work at the trainers would often tell people who were miffed by their dogs lack of interest in other dogs that just like people, some dogs just don't want to be social. There's nothing wrong with being an introvert!
