Yes, they are hydrangeas, and I think the soil has a lot to do with the color. The picture was taken in my mother's yard, but I might try to plant one next year. They are very pretty! But I like the soft blue color in your picture too!
Scarlett is doing so well, she won again today! We are so proud of our little girl!
