A to Z Challenge: M is for Madalynn!!

Today is day 13 in our 26 day challenge of posting a letter a day for the next 26 days.  Its called the A to Z challenge.  

Today's letter is a very special letter!  

Today is M for Madalynn.  My new niece, Madalynn Elizabeth, was born last Monday, April 7th.  She weighed in at 10 lbs 3 oz and 21" long.  The Lynn part of her name is after her aunt (me!) ... my middle name is Lynn.

On Friday Teach and I went to visit.  (You knew I had to have Teach included in the post)  He LOVED her, was very curious and so gentle.  He would give her the smallest little kisses and she really didn't seem to mind.  And we all know I love pictures so we had to have a little photo shoot.  My sister even had the perfect shirt for my M post!

Yes she is sucking her thumb ... like her aunt and mommy!

While she was in her bassinet in the bedroom Teach would periodically go in there and check on her.  I went with him one time (camera in hand) and took the pictures below.

Teach has a new BFF in town now!  I look forward to watching them together and so proud of him with how gentle and sweet he is with her.  There will be more pictures/posts of the two of them together, I'm sure.

Baby Shower Picture Post

We had several family members far away that weren't able to attend the baby shower for Susan and Madalynn this weekend so I wanted to share a post with the pictures from it so everyone can "pretend" they were there.  (Teach did give me permission to do this on his blog.  He said he will be Madalynn's favorite.)
